The other night, I stepped into my bedroom and stopped at the nightstand beside the bed to put my book down. I felt a "funny" pressure or bump on my head and my hair moved, so I shook my head. Nothing. Another movement. So I flung, I fluffed and I flounced, but I didn't freak.
Bug.

I shook a bug loose from my hair. A creepy, crawling, ugly roach bug. IN MY HAIR! It made me so mad that dancing around and screaming or calling for help never entered my mind. I had an intruder and needed to defend the homeland. If Nanette had been here, she would have grabbed the hairspray for me. (Did you know hairspray freezes insects and spiders in their step so you, or someone you know, can nab them?) But....no Nan. No hairspray.
I thought that I heard it fall on the nightstand, but I couldn't see it. I started moving things and it darted. In my scriptures. Under my clock. Around the tissue box. I chased it. I was not about to let it get away for violating my...my....person. Then it showed its ugly self momentarily. Which was just long enough. He was then tranported to the potty and the offender went down the hole!
I did it all by myself. A stinking roach. In my house. On my head. In my hair.
Now, I have the heeby jeebies because I don't know where it came from!!!!!!!

May I introduce you to my new best friends?
